Hemophyllis recommends this intriguing site: "The ruins of Sheldon church that was burned in the Revolution, rebuilt and then burned again by Sherman still stand, plus a great graveyard - it is the prettiest ruined church in my memory - great b/w photo op, too. The pics on the web do it no justice. Highly recommended."

The Macaulay Museum of Dental History is located adjacent to the Waring Historical Library, and St. Luke's Chapel and houses an impressive collection of dental memorabilia. <shudder> (Thanks to Katchaya for the tip.)

The lake where Susan Smith drowned her children. Also the site where seven other individuals drowned when their car mysteriously rolled into the lake while they were visiting the memorial to the Smiths children. Locals suspect the lake is haunted, so don't get too close!!

Cathy writes to tell me of her travelogue to Jim and Tammy Fay Bakker's doomed Heritage USA park: "See the park that Jimmy built. This is a work in progress, but I've posted about 50 of the 200 pictures. The park was basically an entire resort area (2200+ acres) built by James Bakker. When James ran in
to some issues, the park was closed and with the exception of a few minor attempts, was basically frozen in time. Much more info to follow, but check this one out!! (Lots-N-Lots of pics!)"
