When In Massachusetts…

February 4th, 2009

I’ve been to most states in our hallowed union, but the one glaring exception that torments me is the great state of Massachusetts. One of these days, I simply MUST take a trip to bask in that witchy ax-murderer vibe… and when I do, I’ll be sure to use Boston.Com’s “This Could Only Happen In Massachusetts” as my guide. (Thanks to Steve O’ for sending me the link.)

Reminds me of some of the stories Lovecraft wrote about the strange goings-on in New England … wonder if the Old Gentleman knew of the legends?

The town of Salem and the castle at Gloucester are two places you must stop in when in Mass. Nothing exceptionally morbid about Salem – except the overall feeling that you get when you think about all the innocent people that were tortured and hung and/or burned there.
