    Strange. I’d always just assumed it was torn down years and years ago. As I understand it, it was kind of a dump even at the time of the time of the killing, just figured they’d have done something with it long ago.

    Oddly enough, working here at my local public library, I came across a book written about this very crime. I wish I remembered the title, sorry. All I know is that Gertrude woman was a piece of you know what and the way that that girl died was horrific.

    43 years later…

    It didn’t take too long here for the city ended up buying the Bernardo/Holmolka rented home and flattened it. People came from all over before and during taking pieces of it.
