Sickening
It is hard to believe that in 2011 such atrocities are still committed in the name of an ancient “God”. Humans sicken me. Where’s the Zombie Apocalypse when you really need it???
Shocking Footage Of Taliban Stoning Couple To Death For Adultery
Motorway Mayhem!
For those of us fascinated by car crashes (and, let’s face it, who isn’t?), here is a mesmerizing compilation of mayhem and tragedy (some authentic, some cinematic). Warning: Sensitive souls may find themselves unable to ride in an automobile (or walk anywhere even remotely adjacent to a roadway) again.
John Parkhurst
Fascinating photograph, isn’t it? Kinda looks a bit like Abe Lincoln… but if only he had suffered such a minor wound! This is John Parkhurst, who suffered a gunshot wound of the temporal bone during the Civil War. It would have been simply ghastly to be injured back in those days, don’t you think? Even worse to have been injured in ancient times. Looks like John got off lucky though… he seems to have survived.
A Mugshot Most Morbid!
I can hardly believe this guy could even be living with this much of his brain missing… but he certainly looks happy. More proof that the happiest people are the ones with half a brain.

Gunshot Wound Of The Back
Another gruesome old image from the Otis Historical Archives of the National Museum of Health and Medicine. This one depicts a Civil War gunshot wound to the back. I actually would have guessed that the Skinner from Dexter got ahold of this guy.

Cerebral Fungus (Receded)
Here’s another ghastly image from the National Institute of Health Otis Archives on Flickr.
